A walk by the River

(C122) River Biss leading to Handle House at Studley Mills. A Grade II listed building. Note how the river is narrowed to create white water and add oxygen to the river.

 

(C125) Handle House. Built in the 1840’s with perforated walls to allow air to flow through to  dry out the teazles used to raise the nap on the cloth.  Harry Hilliard from local accountants Monahans led the sponsorship to restore the building.
