(A408) the Post Office, Thursday was Benefit Day.

(A410) Ray Graham in his record shop on Silver St. Mostly LP’s

(A412) The urbane and unflappable Mike Berry, estate agent auctioneer and general good chap.

(A414) Slot machines probably in the Snooker Club

(A415) inside Lloyds Bank, Fore St.

(A416) the irrepressible, jolly, legal executive Beryl Cantello  from Mann, Rodway and Green. Who sadly died of cancer a few years later. A sad loss.

(A417) Brian another employee at Mann Rodway. Little was it known he played drums for a band.

Ian Johnson writes to say – Hi, Sorry I have to correct A417 – that’s Brian Bull (known to his friends as Big Brian), and he played bass not drums. I should know, I was in the band with him 🙂   

(A419) Mike Cleveland, tiles and carpets outlet on Canal Road

(A422) This gentlemen was an engineer who  invented and developed a chimney smoke extractor that did not let the rain in. He had an office and factory on Canal Rd.

Danny Turner writes to say – The Gentleman in the photo used to live in the House adjacent to me in Vicarage Lane, Steeple Ashton, his name was Peter Thornton.  He spent many a time telling me about his invention, a truly lovely man, his wife’s name was Joan the perfect neighbours.

(A423) Shopkeeper lady from the Seymour Estate.

(A424)  Shopkeeper and customer at Seymour Estate.

And Yvonne adds – Week 14 (A424) Mrs Burke or Burt.

(A425) Fish and Chip shop Seymour Estate.

(A426) Snooker club, off Silver St.

(A427) Terry Sims at the Snooker club.

(A428) Street Trader outside WH Smiths, Fore St.

(A429) The Saxon Garage, Bradford on Avon garage owner Ron Fisher, mechanic, Scout Leader,  community organiser and Round Tabler. Another person who sadly died in the next few years. The church was packed and overflowing with mourners.

(A430) Doug, who worked with Ron, a witty man who didn’t say very much, and when he did he would always laugh and disagree with you.

Bev Gardner writes –   A430. Name Doug Turnbull Ross who worked at Saxon Garage B O Avon.  His late Wife worked there also.  Sadly both have passed away.  Good Friends of mine.

David and Louise Mason (née Louise Turnbull-Ross) write to say –  Contrary to Bev’s belief, I can inform you that his wife, Christine Turnbull-Ross, is still with us and is still going strong and is in her 80th year (as of 22/3/19).
